The One

Gonna follow my own (from yesterday) advice, and post just ONE picture today. I rummaged through my previous NEX files folders made from getting the camera (about two weeks ago) till now, and found a couple of pretty interesting shots, still unprocessed. So I did edit a few, and intended to share them here tonight, but one in particular caught my attention, so I decided to post it, and it only.

The One

Kirk Tuck (fantastic Austin based pro photographer and master portraitist) recently wrote that not all pictures needed a context to exist, to be valid. There is no particular context to this shot, but to me it’s worthy by its very aesthetic content. The defined eyelash, delicate shoulder blade and velvety skin fully suggest the vulnerability and delicacy of childhood. It’s probably a shot that would play very well in black & white. Hmm, have to try that…
