Getting the mojo back

You guys who are familiar with the blog know that my 5 yr old, Marla, has lost most of her confidence in horseriding after taking two pretty rough falls last winter

Has30Mai14-02But today, as this radiant smile shows, the joy was back

Has30Mai14-01The skills will wait, though. She’s still struggling with basic stuff that seemed totally aquired a few months back. But the important thing is that she’s now welcoming her weekly lesson with renewed enthusiasm. Technique will follow

Has30Mai14-04The loving parents. Armed with a camera, I get to stay *inside* the barn

Has30Mai14-06All three other girls are 7. So Marla is the session’s baby

Has30Mai14-07The ponies are reasonably homogenous in size, and all girls boast the “Galop 1”

Has30Mai14-05The most skilled student, Dune, rides Marla’s former schooling pony, Eclaire

Has30Mai14-03Pirouette was nice and relaxed, and didn’t give Marla any trouble

Has30Mai14-08That’s one serious little rider…

Has30Mai14-13I have a monochrome riders’ shoot planned tomorrow. Stay tuned 😉

  1. That barn has definitely a spectacular place… your wide angles

  2. marla2008 says:

Oh Laurent, you would love it !! I personally love the older, smaller barn better, because of all the psycho-but-majestic lighting going on there. But the larger barn, also beautitful with its stone walls and wood beams is quite spectacular. I can’t wait to give the 50-150/2.8 a workout in there !

  3. Any fisheye lens you can borrow for a session or 2?
