Our new friend Mathilde offered us to meet her and her dad at the Owners’ Challenge that closes each year’s national championship at Lamotte-Beuvron, 30 minutes from our new homeI was to photograph their mare in the “top model” class that all participants are invited to join, free of charge
To that effect I took along the only two cameras that I currently own, the ancient Nikon D90 with an old Nikkor 75-240 zoom lens, and the aging Sony NEX 6 with the historic Olympus PEN F 38/1.8, the latter as my “moody” and “artsy” set-up
I can’t help but yearning for a full frame camera, a D600 comes to mind (being broke that’s the cheapest recent FF body on the used market…), but Sony’s color rendering is so good that it makes me look towards the A99…
Tomorrow Marla got a trail ride planned. The cameras are coming along. Stay tuned !
